Square away pipe penetrations with FortiSeal®

Keeping exterior wall pipe penetrations free from air and water leaks is a must for today’s WRB-wrapped structures. To create a weatherproof seal around these penetrations, builders usually employ some combination of caulking, flexible or non-flexible flashing tape, and/or spray foams. Pre-formed flashing panels can simplify the process, but they can be very pricey. Such methods can be effective but time-consuming. As today’s average residential home may have 10-20 exterior pipe penetrations, that time can add up quickly. Luckily, there’s a much faster and simpler way to seal through pipe-penetrations.

FortiSeal® through-wall flashing boots

FortiSeal® pre-cut squares give builders a quick and easy way to seal pipe penetrations in weather-resistive barriers. Manufactured from a high-strength, high-stretch polyolefin, these squares fit a range of pipe diameters from ½” to 8” sizes.

The FortiSeal® line also has a vapor permeance of .02 perms, plus a tensile strength and puncture resistance that outperforms thicker membranes. Along with saving precious time on the jobsite, FortiSeal® also saves money compared to the alternatives.
