Builder's Shim Stock is manufactured from a laminated, heavy-duty recycled cylinder board and bundled in an easy-to-handle width, sized 1 3/8" x 45". It installs quickly — simply cut to length with a utility knife and apply with nails or a hammer tacker. The consistent thickness speeds up application, and the Builder's shims won’t compress like corrugated cardboard. They can be applied to fill in low spots on wood framing or to provide additional backing for casework and trim. Multiple layers of progressively longer or shorter lengths can be applied to achieve the desired built-up thickness.
